Here’s your guide to the full schedule and key athletes to watch in Paris on day two.
The Champions

However, the recent rise of new talent at World Cup events could make for a thrilling competition. China’s Jinping Xiao recently set an Asian record with a 123kg lift in Tbilisi, while notable competitors such as China’s Hu Dandan and Nigeria’s Esther Oyema (world record holder with 131kg) will be absent.
Following this will be the men’s up to 59kg final. China’s Qi Yongkai, the defending Paralympic and world champion, is the leading contender.
Also expected to make an impact are El Salvador’s Herbert Aceituno, a medallist at Tokyo 2020 and Dubai 2023 Worlds, and Iran’s Mohsen Bakhtiar, who has had a strong season.
The world record in this category, held by Egypt’s Osman (211kg) since Rio 2016, will be a benchmark to watch.
Evening Stars
The evening session begins with the women’s up to 55kg final, featuring Egypt’s Rehab Ahmed. Ahmed, the current world champion and world record holder (135kg), is also a Tokyo 2020 silver medallist in the lower weight category (-50kg).
The day will conclude with the men’s up to 65kg final, where China’s Zou Yi, the reigning world champion and world record holder (222kg), will be a strong competitor.
