The pair, who got married in 2018, revealed the arrival of their first baby on August 23, 2024.
The 30-year-old musician and his 27-year-old model-entrepreneur wife have celebrated the arrival of their first child. Justin shared the joyful news on Friday, August 23.
“WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER,” Justin announced in an Instagram post. Hailey quickly followed suit, sharing the same photo on her Instagram Stories with the baby’s name along with a teddy bear and a blue heart emoji.
Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette, expressed her excitement on Twitter: “CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!”
Stephen Baldwin, Hailey’s father, re-shared Mallette’s tweet with a heartfelt addition: “Amen. Congratulations to you both, and may God continue to bless our family.”
The couple revealed their pregnancy news in May 2024 via Instagram. A spokesperson for Hailey later confirmed to PEOPLE that she was a little over six months along at that time.
In a recent video from their vow renewal, Hailey donned a long, lacy white dress and a veil, which beautifully accentuated her growing baby bump.
She also shared several photos of herself and Justin standing together in a field, with Justin’s arms lovingly resting on her belly as he proudly displayed their matching wedding rings.
Hailey kept her caption minimal, simply tagging her husband.
The couple initially married in a New York City courthouse in September 2018, just two months after their engagement. They later held a grander ceremony in Bluffton, South Carolina, where they exchanged vows and Tiffany wedding bands as the sun set, surrounded by family and friends.
In October, Hailey graced the cover of GQ Hype, where she addressed the pregnancy rumors that had been swirling. “Recently, everyone was saying, ‘Oh my God, she’s pregnant,’ and it’s happened to me multiple times before,” she shared with the magazine.
There’s something really disheartening about not being able to be bloated without it being assumed I’m pregnant. It would be dishonest to say it doesn’t bother me,” she admitted.
She added, “When the time comes that it’s actually true, the internet will be the last to know.”
Although she had previously mentioned wanting to keep her children out of the public eye, the model acknowledged that this might be “probably totally unavoidable.”
“That was before I was married and before I knew who I would be married to,” she reflected.
Despite her concerns, she expressed that motherhood is something she eagerly anticipates.
“It’s such a private and personal matter. It will happen when it happens,” she explained.
“And honestly, it’s just so funny how much people care. I should be able to make choices about my body, and everyone else can do the same with theirs — and that should be enough,” she added.
Justin has expressed a desire to start a family with Hailey for some time. During a December 2020 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he mentioned that he was honoring his wife’s timeline.
“I’m happy to have as many kids as Hailey wants. I’d love to have a little tribe,” the “Baby” singer said. “But ultimately, it’s her body and her decision. I think she’s open to having a few.”
